One of my New Years '09 resolution was to take better care of myself. Meaning exercising regularly and eating healthy. And I'm proud to say that for the most part I carried through with it. There were of course lots of days that I slacked off, but overall I feel like I pulled it off. But through the process I grew a greater understanding of the soul. Sounds cheesy. But in church a few weeks ago, we were discussing how the soul = body + spirit. So our bodies and our spirit really are closely connected. So we should be taking care of our bodies not just because it's physically good for us, but it also plays a huge role in our spiritual well being!

I still don't like vegetables, I have to put forth a huge effort to eat them, BUT I do like the way I feel when I have been eating them. Except green olives. Nastiest things in the world. Probably worse than cough syrup.

-that's oreo up above. cutie.

  1. Haha. So I guess I'm your buff roll model hu? Ok so there may or may not have been photoshopping involved in that picture....
But I'll vouch for this post...you look so fit and healthy! Since you were so fat before gross. Good for you, it feels so good to be healthy, theres no other feeling like it.

  2. I'm so with you on the olives. Any olives. Sick stuff. Way to eat healthy! And be healthy! It's hard sometimes but so the best. Keep it up with the veggies, they may grow on you! XOXO.

  3. Roll model? NO PUN INTENDED! Lindsey, you have helped me too. I have been exercising regularly and it is nice (although i still don't know how to lose those love-handles). I have bad weeks though . . . Regardless, if you can eat veggies, I can do better too.
