Fave

This is currently my favorite pose.

My back always seems to be achy and sore, so I love any and all types of spinal twists. This one's super easy and calming which makes it perfect for right after you wake up! And it's supposedly a detoxer - is that a word? I got the directions for ya off of iyogalife.com
  1. Come onto hands and knees. Turn your right palm up to the sky as you thread the right arm behind the left wrist and let the right shoulder drop to the floor. The right side of your face can rest on the floor. Stretch the right arm to the left to make space under the shoulder blade and stretch the hard-to-get muscular attachments there.
  2. Tent your left hand’s fingertips onto the floor. Use the lift to bend the elbow directly over the hand, and roll the left shoulder back, creating a heart-opening spiral. Inhale deep into the chest and belly. Exhale, and press the navel to spine as you deepen the twist through the shoulders.

Breathe slowly here for 5-10 breaths. Repeat on the left side.
