Mostly Minimalist

I've been really into the whole minimalist idea lately. My parents got me on it. When Christmas season was approaching they made it known to all that they honestly and truly did not want anything. We listened mainly and only bought them two simple, small gifts. We couldn't help it. But I really do agree with how they were feeling. Too much money is spent and too much junk is given throughout the Christmas season and probably throughout the whole year. And the more I think about it the more I want to become a minimalist. Not a crazy one, of course. A few of the blogs I've been reading don't have beds or couches! Not that I have those either...but if I could I would. And when I can I will :)

My sister in-law told me about this gal that wears the same dress every day for a year. Crazy! And it just keeps making me think, "I can't wait till I get back to Idaho, where all my stuff's at, and start being a minimalist!" But then I realized I've already started! I've been living with just 6 shirts, 3 cardigans, 2 jeans, and 1 skirt for two months! If I can survive this long with so few items then why do I have all that junk back home?!? I don't know. But I'm excited to start downsizing and becoming more of a thoughtful shopper.
