Week of the Fourth

We took most of the week of the 4th off and headed up to Oregon.

Boppy's make great grownup pillows.

We've traveled a lot with Rosie, but they've always been broken up trips, so this was our longest drive we've done with her, and she was great! Slept the whole time! We finally bought a mirror for the backseat and I LOVE it! Now we can easily see if she's sleeping, happy, sad, or whatever.

On the 4th, Trevor's cousin Alyssa and her husband Patrick came down from Portland to hang out in Hood River with us for the day. A little kayaking, paddleboarding, and sailing.

Don't let Rosie's face fool you, she loved sailing. Though her face does make me laugh here.

We bought her hearing protectors for the fireworks and for future concerts or maybe even the movie theater? We'll see. The earmuffs worked great. She watched the fireworks for 5 mins then was OUT!!

We also made it up to Salem to visit family. My Grandma Susie was so excited to meet Rosie. And we made sure to get a picture of the four generations. Nice face, Dad.

This is Oregon's Capital. I was so surprised by it. I thought all capitals looked the same, but I guess I was wrong.

It was a much needed vacation and was a nice break from our 108* weather. It's now a comfortable 97*, not bad :)

  1. Aww looks like so much fun! I'm also shocked by the capital! Totally thought it was like...a temple! Also...that picture of Rosie...gets me so bad. Laughing so hard.
