Us Lately

January was nice. It was a chance for us to pause and take a breath! November and December were CRAZY. Trevor's big 2-day meetings for work and my big work meeting in Utah were just 2 days apart. Meaning the weeks leading up to our meetings were incredibly stressful with very little sleep. It didn't help that that Rosie's sleep was AWFUL during these months. She'd wake up in the middle of the night for hours at a time. Thankfully now she's sleeping MUCH better. Which makes us think that she probably sensed our stress and it affected her sleep. Her 6 new teeth probably played a role too...

So this last month we stayed in a lot. We never really felt the need to leave. Part of that is because Rosie's so entertaining. It's so much fun to watch her learn and grow. Like learning words! She's got Mamma, Please, Bye-bye, Baby, she's working on Daddy, and her favorite word is No. We joke how she's probably confused what "bye-bye" means since we spend at least 5 minutes waving and trying to get her to say "bu-bye"! She's probably thinking instead of "goodbye" it means "let's-spend-5-minutes-pretending-like-we're-going-to-leave".

We've also been working on some home projects. Cleaning, baby proofing (over night everything in our home became dangerous), and hanging pictures!

Finally! These pictures and frames had been leaning against the wall for months, tempting Rosie to knock them over. And since Rosie is TERRIBLE with temptations - like this girl has no self control - she would knock them over repeatedly. I know I'm to blame for leaving them within her reach, but it took me a long time to find the right frames, spray paint a few of them, and then finally hang them. The top left frame will be our holiday frame and will hold a picture of whatever holiday is coming up. Or at least that's the plan. It'll probably sit empty for another month or two...

Anyway, things are good. We're alive, happy, and mostly well rested.
